Magoos Café and Bar in Canberra has quietly undergone a change of management earlier this month and whilst patrons will still be treated to the same quality service and food, the venue will undergo some improvements to increase capacity and offerings through the summer months.
Located at the picturesque Kingston Foreshore, Magoos has been in operation for many years, including throughout the COVID crisis and lockdowns whilst supporting local music artists. The exterior however, was becoming a little old, dated and in places, damaged thanks to time and weather. Queue a new management team and new approach to ensuring the summer patronage is satisfied and entertained.
One of the first items on the list of improvements will be recorded and live music, to ensure a mix of popular entertainment. Second is the planned expansion of the beer garden, including smaller size tables, allowing more groups to enjoy the premises.
Whilst some of these features are yet to be implemented, the venue still had a bumper day on Friday just gone, with three Christmas parties and one hen’s party booking taking full advantage of all that Magoos has to offer. Patrons definitely spoke with their feet and voted Magoos “the” place to be on a hot summer afternoon, whilst viewing spectacular water views.
Magoos is located at 27 Eastlake Parade, Kingston, Australian Capital Territory 2604.
